Bilfinger Industrial Services, Inc. known as a leading provider of complex, comprehensive services is seeking an Estimator/Cost Engineer at our Green Bay, WI site location. This position requires a self-motivated individual who researches and evaluates potential construction projects for the company/client.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must have a degree in Construction Management/Engineering and/or have a minimum of 1 to 5 years' experience of estimating.
  • Working knowledge of construction methods, experience with a singular discipline is acceptable.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Ability to interpret and understand industrial process and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills are required.
  • Strong working knowledge or mastery level knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with Twenty5 Intelligent Pricing & Estimating (iPE) or RS Means is preferred, work experience with other estimating software platforms is acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quantities assessments of the project, produces an estimate within accepted corporate and business unit policies and procedures indicating estimated costs of construction of each aspect of the projects.
  • Ability to interpret Client specifications as necessary to prepare labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Plan, coordinate and develop detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects including civil, structural, electrical and mechanical project scope.
  • Coordinate estimating activities with a diverse team of Estimators and Project Leaders to complete execution plans, project schedules and final proposals on multiple projects.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate bid quantity take-offs.
  • Perform job cost analysis by evaluating cost factors related to the project scope.
  • Prepare proposal packages and contact vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors via phone, email, and other messaging types for supporting quotations (as necessary).
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's and/or project management's direction.
  • Prepare bid analysis and present for management review.
  • Assess risks associated with construction of the project, coordinates estimate review with appropriate leadership.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our extended client base.
