Tutor Perini Corporation is looking for a Concrete Estimator to join our team in New Rochelle, NY. You will play a crucial role in the success of our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for all concrete-related work, including foundations, slabs, columns, walls, and structural elements. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive and accurate bid proposals. Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent DESCRIPTION: As a Concrete Estimator at Tutor Perini Corp., reporting to the Vice President of Estimating, you will have the opportunity to: Estimate concrete work for civil infrastructure projects, including site prep, formwork, reinforcement, and finishing. Perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment needs. Analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure cost efficiency and accuracy. Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals based on project scope and specifications. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine budgets and scope. Use estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Bid, PlanSwift, ProEst, On-Screen Takeoff) to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality. Monitor market trends, material pricing, and labor rates to maintain competitive estimates. Assist in contract negotiations and provide recommendations for project planning.
