Summary Prepares estimates of quantities of concrete forming, accessories and related products required for projects which Darragh Concrete Forming seeks to offer a bid so that contractor customers can receive timely proposals. Requirements

  • Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school, with a minimum of six months to one year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft suite programs as well as reading blueprints.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and respectfully convey information to both customers and co-workers
  • Working knowledge of estimating and reasoning ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables

Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely estimates of the quantities of the all the concrete forming systems, accessories and related products required for bidding projects with planned follow-up calls to ensure a rental/sale.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and branch teammates regarding all aspects of the estimating and bidding process.
  • Maintain an up-to-date bid calendar that includes tracking to ensure complete estimating and keeps branch management aware of bid schedules and upcoming work.
  • Assist in the quoting of prices for Darragh Company/Darragh Concrete Forming materials so that assigned customer accounts are certain to receive bids on work they are pursuing.
  • Should maintain a spreadsheet/app with all future construction opportunities through the use of Dodge Reports and related on-line services
