About The Position

The Estimator 1 position focuses on companywide success in adherence to MCC Standards and all preconstruction activities directed for the support of preparation and undertaking for all of Manhattan’s preconstruction services. The position is responsible for compiling takeoffs, subcontractor deliverables, assisting in estimating and tab sheet creation. Estimator 1 must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. In addition, the skill set of owning one’s work is crucial to this role.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• Ability to accurately obtain quantities
• Knowledge of Autodesk Software
• Knowledge of Estimating & Takeoff Software
• Bachelor’s Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis

• Post Addenda
• Resolve Request for Information
• Manage Vendor Solicitation
• Oversee Initial Subcontractor Contracts
• Lead Quantity Take-Offs
• Update/Post Plans and Specifications
• Assists in Generating / Manage Tab Sheets
• Assists with Bid Packaging Documents
• Responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work.
• Other duties as assigned
