As an Estimating Supervisor in the construction services and foodservice industry, your role is pivotal in leading a team of estimators to prepare detailed foodservice equipment estimates and bid proposals. With 5 years of relevant experience, you'll ensure that TriMark's bids are competitive and accurate.

Requirements

• 5 – 6 years of relevant experience in Project Management or Estimating roles within the Construction industry, or equivalent Military or practical experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic business acumen and industry knowledge.
• Customer service and sales attitude.
• Proficiency in MS Office products and Adobe Acrobat.
• Capacity to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Math skills suitable for the role and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of general construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
• Understanding of construction specification documents, document flow processes, submittals, RFI/RFP processes, and addendums.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and written specifications.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred: Experience in the Foodservice industry.
• Completion of the CFSP Test within the first 3 years of employment.
• Preferred: OSHA 30-Hr Construction Safety & Health Certification.
• Team management and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the estimating team, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of cost estimates for construction projects.
• Review and validate estimates prepared by team members, providing guidance to enhance accuracy and competitiveness.
• Lead and mentor a team of estimators, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the estimating team.
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of bids, ensuring compliance with project specifications, deadlines, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather necessary information for bid submissions.
• Conduct detailed cost analyses for construction projects, identifying cost drivers, and providing insights into areas for cost optimization.
• Generate reports on estimation outcomes, presenting findings to senior management for informed decision-making.
• Facilitate communication between the estimating team and other departments, including project management, engineering, and finance.
• Engage with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to address inquiries, clarify project requirements, and build strong professional relationships.
