About The Position

The Estimating Sales Representative at Clopay Corporation is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support in the sales process for commercial and grille doors. This role involves maintaining competitive pricing information, generating quotes and estimates, and assisting customers with product specifications. The representative will work closely with both customers and the sales team to ensure accurate order entry and revenue management, while also promoting company sales strategies and fostering relationships with distributors and new accounts.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or 5 years of inside sales experience within the construction products industry.
• Advanced product knowledge and knowledge of product regulations and industry standards.
• Strong communication and telephone skills.
• Analytical skills and ability to work effectively with other areas of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and use competitive pricing information for quoting.
• Assist customers with specification interpretation and write appropriate RFIs and quotations.
• Close jobs within established guidelines and resolve customer issues.
• Engage customers in the proper application of products within regulatory standards.
• Review requests for quotes and estimates; generate quotes/estimates using company sales strategies.
• Meet and exceed group sales targets.
• Work independently or with outside sales force to ensure information accuracy prior to order entry.
• Generate reports to track bookings, revenue, close ratio, RFI logs, and quote follow-up logs.
• Assist in new customer prospecting and assimilation; foster relationships with existing distributors and new accounts.
• Promote and teach company sales strategies at every opportunity.
• Assist all departments in efficient communication with internal and external customers.
