Lincoln Contracting & Equipment is seeking an Estimating Manager who will provide leadership and oversight for the estimating function, including direct supervision of an estimator. This role ensures accurate, timely, and competitive estimates while supporting team alignment across departments in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Formulate an estimate from proposals and/or blueprint drawings, which would include breaking down fabrications in a bill of materials and working with staff to calculate man-hours to fabricate, roll, and form. Researching the cost of items such as materials, transport, labor, and equipment. Establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors. Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame. Assessing the risk levels associated with a project. Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done. Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of the sales team. Supervisor Responsibilities: Supervise, mentor, and support the estimator in preparing competitive and compliant project estimates. Assign workload and prioritize estimating activities to meet deadlines and business needs. Review and approve estimates, bid packages, and pricing strategies prior to submission. Work closely with internal departments to gather project requirements and support accurate estimating.
