About The Position

JOB DESCRIPTION: Estimating Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Estimators with various tasks related to projects bidding and is the primary point of contact for vendor and subcontractor correspondence within the Estimation Department. Estimating Coordinator reports directly to the Estimating Manager.

Requirements

• Organization and time management skills are critical - multiple projects will be assigned at the same time; must prioritize tasks
• Communication skills -ability to develop strong working relationships with suppliers/vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, and project management staff
• Strong PC skills - Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/Project
• Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Construction industry experience a plus
• Ability to understand/analyze project plans/specifications a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Manage Pipeline Suite bid solicitation software
• Establish rapport and maintain relationships with equipment/material vendors and subcontractors to facilitate solicitation of bids
• Manage SharePoint bid calendar in close coordination with Estimating Manager
• Manage online plan rooms for obtaining project documents and submitting responses to general contractor invitations to bid (ITB)
• Download, print, and manage project plans, specifications, etc.
• Check for addenda, clarifications, and project updates daily
• Organize and manage project bid folders including filing of vendor/sub quotations
• Create, update, and maintain prequalification and proposal submission documents as required
• Submit proposals at the direction of the Estimating Manager
• Assist estimators with submission of RFI's
• Other duties as assigned by management
