About The Position
Co-op – Estimating Track – Heavy Civil Construction Company: Gregory Construction Location: Based out of Columbus, MS Travel: Limited travel required Job Type: Paid Co-op Gregory Construction is seeking Estimating Co-op students to support our preconstruction team during a semester-based assignment. This role provides deeper exposure to estimating processes and bid preparation for heavy civil construction projects. Gregory Construction specializes in heavy civil construction, including earthwork, utilities, concrete structures, and roadway construction. Our estimating team plays a key role in planning successful projects through detailed analysis and strategic bidding. This role is ideal for students interested in estimating, cost analysis, and construction planning.
Requirements
- Students pursuing Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related degrees
- Ability to commit to a semester-long co-op
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and initiative
Responsibilities
- Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Assist with subcontractor and vendor coordination
- Support bid preparation and proposal development
- Work with estimators to develop budgets
