About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Maritime and Intelligence Systems (M&IS) - West division is seeking an innovative Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Experienced or Senior) to join our estimating team in Huntington Beach, California. This position offers relocation assistance. In this exciting and highly visible role, you will: Be developing Cost Estimates and Cost Proposals Conducting cost model improvements Briefing recommendations up through all levels of the company. Maritime and Intelligence Systems (M&IS) is a division within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) that develops autonomous technologies, intelligence capabilities and networking solutions. Their mission is to deliver decision intelligence and build business value for customers through autonomous solutions. The division meets the diverse needs of U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. intelligence community, commercial, international and other customers by providing reliable, ground breaking capabilities, including: Autonomous aviation systems and maritime autonomous solutions Signals collection, discrimination, exploitation and effects Navigation and guidance Secure, low size, weight and power (SWaP) electronics Applied information analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• 3+ years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA).
• 3+ years of experience with government, company, and local policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g. Estimating system manual, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Procurement integrity, Export Control relating to development of cost proposals).
• 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets.
• 3+ years of experience building proposals utilizing pricing systems, estimating and pricing tools and processes.
• 3+ years of experience in performing cost estimating/pricing function.
• 3+ years of experience supporting audit, fact-finding and negotiations.

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance within the past 24 months.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance and/or Special Program Access.
• 3+ years of experience as a proven leader with strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills.
• Experience working with cross functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program.
• Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices.
• Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals.
• Develops estimating and pricing methods.
• Evaluates and develops cases.
• Performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, etc.).
• Incorporates data into and maintains structured systems and coordinates program database requirements.
