In this role, you will be accountable for managing and settling larger, more complex estates and/or terminating trusts that require a higher level of technical expertise and knowledge. This is a non-licensed associate role. You will assign tasks to the Settlement Assistants, monitor progress, and approve completed work. Additionally, you will be responsible for coaching, developing, and mentoring assistants and junior-level officers within the Settlement team. Building and maintaining relationships with external business partners such as Attorneys, CPAs, and Fiduciary Accountants is crucial, as well as coordinating communication with internal support partners (Tax, Compliance, SAM, ART) to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient administration while managing business risk. You will maintain high-quality communications with beneficiaries, focusing on client satisfaction and asset retention. Your responsibilities will also include increasing estate revenue by developing and maintaining partnerships with Private Wealth Management business partners and through referrals from other business lines. You will participate in sales calls as needed, offering Estate Settlement expertise, and coordinate communication with internal support partners to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient administration. Acting as a technical resource to colleagues within and outside of the Estate Settlement team will be part of your role, along with the responsibility for coaching, developing, and mentoring assistants.
