About The Position

If you have experience in estate planning, you may be an excellent addition to our growing law firm. We are looking for a highly analytical candidate with good negotiation and organizing skills who can work full time. As our estate planning attorney, you will draft wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for our clients and their families. To ensure that an estate's management is handled in accordance with the wishes of the estate owner, this position requires a significant level of responsibility. Requirements

  • 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position
  • At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on estate planning and probate law issues is necessary
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Florida
  • Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client service

Nice To Haves

  • An LLM in estate planning or tax law is strongly preferred but not required
  • Experience with federal estate tax returns and federal gift tax returns is a plus
  • Understanding of a variety of real estate matters, including title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
  • Consult clients about your plans for distributing their assets
  • Confer with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process
  • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
  • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date
  • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies, tax implications, and asset preservation
  • Assist with probate processes, including filing petitions, representing clients in court, and managing estate administration
  • Handle estate and trust administration matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of legal processes and options
  • Offer legal guidance in estate planning, business formation, and special needs planning
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement strategies that protect and preserve their assets

Benefits
