Candidate will be provided on the job training Support BFCS Vision, Mission, and Goals. Promote and adhere to BFCS policies and procedures. Provide a safe, structured environment focused on academic excellence. Instruct and assist, within close proximity to the teacher and health assistant, individual students or small groups of students to reinforce material or skills initially introduced by the teacher. Implement, under the direction of the supervising certified teacher, behavioral plans developed by a team consisting of parent and school personnel for the purpose of assisting students in modifying behaviors that are in conflict with a positive academic and social environment. Assist in educational demonstrations for the class or small group. Assist with assessments, grading papers, and completing records under the supervision of the certified teacher. Assist with the supervision of students during Specials, emergency drills, assemblies, recess, lunch periods, and field trips. Maintain the confidentiality of protected students’ information. Be flexible and perform other duties related to general job function as assigned by supervising teacher. Participate in meetings and trainings as required for the purpose of sharing information and improving knowledge and skills beneficial to assisting in the classroom. Meet any additional specific job requirements as indicated by the school site or District.
