About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Espresso and Coffee Equipment Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair espresso machines, brewers, grinders, and related café equipment. This technician will play a critical role in supporting new café accounts and wholesale partners, ensuring a seamless and high-performance start to every equipment installation and service call. The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, a customer-first mindset, and a solid understanding of specialty coffee equipment, whether from prior field service experience or in-café technical experience.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a service technician or in a technically inclined café/barista role is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and water filtration systems.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; basic plumbing experience is a plus.
  • Comfort working with a wide variety of equipment brands (La Marzocco, Mazzer, Curtis, Mahlkönig, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills—capable of representing the brand professionally on-site.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in the field.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined or awkward spaces occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Install and calibrate espresso machines, brewers, grinders, and water filtration systems at new wholesale and internal café locations.
  • Diagnose and repair espresso and brewing equipment in the field or at the company’s workshop.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per manufacturer recommendations and internal standards.
  • Support new account onboarding by ensuring all technical aspects of setup (electrical, plumbing, water, layout) are complete and equipment is operational before opening.
  • Provide basic user training to café staff on proper operation, cleaning, and daily maintenance of machines.
  • Track service calls and repairs in company CRM or work order system; maintain accurate inventory of parts and tools.
  • Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for parts ordering, technical support, or warranty claims.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, electrical codes, and water regulations during installation and repair work.
