About The Position

The Esports Operations Assistant supports the College of DuPage Esports program by handling day-to-day operations and helping oversee the community side of the organization. This role is designed as both an administrative support position and a leadership development opportunity, giving students a chance to contribute meaningfully to one of the fastest-growing programs on campus.

Requirements

  • THIS IS A STUDENT JOB.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
  • If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
  • If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
  • Interest in esports and community-building (knowledge of a specific game is a bonus).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Flexibility to work evenings/weekends during matches or events, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with team operations, including registering teams, maintaining rosters, and submitting match scores on time.
  • Post announcements and reminders in Discord and on social media.
  • Help oversee the community side of COD Esports: planning casual events, tracking engagement, and supporting student leaders.
  • Interact directly with players to communicate schedules, reminders, and important updates.
  • Track deadlines, schedules, and league requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Provide event support for esports community nights, tournaments, and special events.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned to support the growth of COD Esports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
