About The Position

Interns will join one of our dynamic teams based in Charlotte, NC and contribute to meaningful work. The dates of this internship are June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026. If selected for this opportunity, you will be assigned to one of these two teams: Production Collaborate with video editors to support the production of high-quality show content, including screening, logging, transcribing, and clipping footage. Assist in creating shot sheets and cue sheets for assigned highlights and editing show elements such as video b‑roll, highlights, and teases. Contribute to the selection of material for bumps and roll‑outs and provide creative ideas during production meetings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience editing content using Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. Production Operations Work closely with production, engineering, and studio directing teams to support the coordination of technical requests for SEC Network studio productions and REMI events. Assist with the operation of studio equipment, including cameras and media playout systems. Participate in technical and leadership meetings to help support day‑to-day operations and ensure effective coordination of production workflows and personnel needs. The ideal candidate will have previous internship experience relating to technical operations and experience with broadcast equipment.

Requirements

  • Experience in sports media or television production through internships, coursework, or involvement with a collegiate television station
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. sports, including the ability to identify and discuss key teams, events, and the SEC conference
  • Familiarity with server‑based media systems and non‑linear editing equipment, demonstrated through academic or hands‑on production experience
  • Strong familiarity with ESPN and SEC Network programming, platforms, and studio environments, with the ability to recognize core shows, brands, and production settings
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Able to work days, nights and weekends for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Charlotte, NC area.
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of sports business trends and technologies
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a professional role, organization or activity
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience editing content using Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous internship experience relating to technical operations and experience with broadcast equipment.
  • Major or previous coursework in Broadcast, Communications, Journalism, Sports Media or related major preferred
