About The Position

Requirements

• Ability to work in person and physically report for work on site.
• Experience in teaching English to speakers of other languages (ESOL).
• Knowledge of the American education system and cultural nuances.

Responsibilities

• Accelerate the learning of English for English language learners (ELLs).
• Support the academic content in math, language arts, science, and social studies for LEP students.
• Provide cross-cultural information about the American school system to LEP students.
• Act as a liaison between LEP students, their classroom teachers, and their families.
• Implement all ESOL program procedures to ensure compliance with legal responsibilities.
• Provide leadership and consultation as a second language expert to all staff in the school.
