About The Position
The ELL Coordinator at Moving Everest Charter School plays a crucial role in transforming the lives of K-8 students by ensuring that English Language Learners (ELLs) receive the support they need to succeed academically. The mission of the school is to deliver a rigorous and personalized academic program while focusing on holistic education and character development. The ELL Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating various programs and services for ELLs, ensuring compliance with state mandates, and collaborating with special education staff to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about making a life-changing impact on students' lives and is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. In this role, the ELL Coordinator will manage the administration of the WIDA Screener and ACCESS testing, maintain accurate student records, and ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely manner. The coordinator will also provide direct instruction to ELL students, support teachers in differentiating instruction, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the educational experience for ELLs. The ideal candidate will possess a growth-oriented mindset, high expectations for themselves and their students, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. This position is full-time and requires a Bachelor's degree, a valid Professional Educator License (PEL), and an ESL endorsement.
