About The Position

QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification : Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate High School Diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills : Knowledge of general office equipment Ability to use/learn basic computer applications Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well with children Experience : Experience working with children/students or parents; bilingual (preferred) MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Perform receptionist/clerical duties in the office as assigned Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises as assigned Maintain confidentiality of information Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment Assist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed Assist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned Assist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations Participate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required EQUIPMENT USED: Copier, multi-line telephone, facsimile, audiovisual equipment, and computer/peripherals WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors : Maintain emotional control under stress Work with frequent interruptions Frequent requests to complete work in restrictive timeframes Moderate standing, stooping, bending May be required to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance ____________________________________________________________________________ The foregoing statements describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills that may be required.
