About The Position
The ESL Aide at Crosby Middle School plays a crucial role in supporting English Learners (EL) within the educational environment. This position is designed to assist teachers and campus staff in providing effective instruction and support tailored to the needs of students who are learning English. The ESL Aide will work closely with individual students or small groups under the guidance of a teacher or campus principal, ensuring that English Learners receive the necessary assistance to thrive academically. The role involves not only instructional support but also maintaining a conducive learning environment by helping to keep the classroom organized and assisting with the administration of tests and assignments. In addition to instructional duties, the ESL Aide will supervise students throughout the school day, which includes responsibilities during lunch, on the bus, and during playground activities. This supervision is vital for ensuring student safety and well-being. The Aide will also be responsible for communicating any special needs or issues regarding individual students to the teacher, thereby fostering a supportive educational atmosphere.
