What the job involves: We are currently seeking a Summer Intern in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to join our team. In this role, you will learn EHS compliance management, risk assessment and mitigation strategies, and field safety oversight practices. As a Summer Intern in EHS at JLL, you will:
Requirements
- Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree, with 2-3 years completed majoring in occupational safety, environmental science, engineering, or related field
- Strong interest in EHS compliance and safety management
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Permanent US work authorization required.
Responsibilities
- Site Support Activities: Provide "boots on the ground" facilities and construction EHS oversight, working with Operations and Engineering Staff to review Job Hazard Analyses and Safety Work Permits
- Field Inspections: Execute documented field inspections through the Purposeful Presence on the Floor program and conduct safety observations of facilities services and planned risk activities
- Vendor Compliance: Inspect vendor operations using prescribed protocols and collaborate with JLL vendor partners to ensure compliance with JLL/Account requirements while on-site
- EHS Program Support: Assist with Refrigerant Management, Lock-Out & Tag-Out, Fall Prevention, Pressure Vessels, Hazard Communication, and Confined Spaces programs
- Documentation and Training: Support safety and environmental record keeping, conduct EHS training as required, and assist with incident investigations
