About The Position

The intern will support the design and proposal of ergonomic solutions, conduct assessments, and assist in improving employee well-being, comfort, and productivity. This role will provide hands-on experience in ergonomics and workplace design, ideal for students or recent graduates with an interest in health and safety, industrial design, or human factors.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Occupational Health, Ergonomics, Industrial Design, Human Factors, Kinesiology, or related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.8.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting workstation evaluations and ergonomic assessments for employees to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • Gather and analyze data from ergonomic assessments, employee surveys, and workplace observations to generate insights for design improvements.
  • Help with the design, implementation, and evaluation of ergonomic interventions aimed at reducing musculoskeletal strain and improving overall workplace comfort.
  • Conduct in-person walkthroughs of workspaces to observe and document current ergonomic conditions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct research on best practices, new ergonomic tools, and technologies. Make recommendations for improving ergonomic practices across various departments.
