About The Position
As an ESD Device Engineer intern at GlobalFoundries, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's device offerings while gaining hands-on experience in the semiconductor industry. This internship is designed to provide you with a meaningful work experience that will equip you with the necessary skills to embark on a successful career in this fast-paced field. You will be involved in various tasks that focus on improving electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection devices, which are essential for the reliability and performance of semiconductor products. Your responsibilities will include optimizing key figures of merit for ESD protection devices, generating layouts, extracting parasitic elements, and running simulations to extract key characteristics. You will also have the opportunity to write code to automate these processes, compile results, and fine-tune designs based on your findings. Throughout your internship, you will document your learning, guidelines, and results, which will contribute to your professional development and understanding of the semiconductor industry. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will be expected to perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, supporting all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
