About The Position

The Escrow Specialist at Planet Home Lending LLC is responsible for managing all aspects of escrow accounts, including tax, insurance, and escrow analysis. This role ensures timely payments and compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining effective communication with borrowers and vendors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous loan servicing, insurance, or real estate tax experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve and research issues as needed.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Administer all aspects of the escrow account including tax, insurance, and escrow analysis.
• Ensure timely payment of real estate tax, insurance, and PMI/MIP payments.
• Research and pay delinquent taxes as needed.
• Contact agencies, vendors, and borrowers for necessary communications.
• Complete all escrow-related notifications to customers as required by law.
• Research and resolve escrow disputes from borrowers.
• Manage account maintenance in the servicing system for escrow accounts.
• Work with borrowers and contractors to ensure property repairs comply with regulations.
• Handle mortgage insurance claims, including inspections and fund disbursement.
• Monitor vendor relationships for insurance and real estate tax.
• Ensure timely premium payments for lender-placed insurance.
• File claims with vendors as appropriate.
• Complete imaging of loan documents for record retention.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
