The Escrow Officer is a critical team player that schedules, coordinates, and performs closing transactions between loan establishments, sellers, borrowers, and real estate agents. This role involves executing a plan to build and maintain a customer base to ensure financial contribution to TitleOne. The Escrow Officer provides leadership to the Escrow Team, which includes training, resolving conflicts, coordinating with other departments, monitoring files, and attending team meetings. They establish and monitor performance objectives, participate in performance appraisals for escrow assistants, and recommend necessary changes to ensure workflow and escrow processes run smoothly. In smaller operations, this position may also lead the escrow team. The Escrow Officer establishes marketing goals and action plans to retain and acquire customers for maintenance and target segments. They must consistently follow State, Federal, and Company rules and regulations regarding settlement services, including Department of Insurance regulations/guidelines and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in accordance with State law. The role requires close collaboration with the Title Team to clear title on each transaction and compliance with TitleOne Corporation escrow trust accounting standards outlined in the process and procedure manual. The Escrow Officer conducts closing transactions as a neutral third party, compiles loan documents, title research, and Real Estate Agent instructions, and answers questions of buyers and sellers relating to transaction details.
