About The Position

The main purpose of the job is to run escape games and ensure the best possible guest experience from the moment the guest arrives to the time they leave. This includes ensuring that games are properly prepared and run in a safe way and an appropriate environment is always maintained.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, unless company sees capability without minimum education requirement
  • Basic English
  • Basic math
  • Physical versatility for multiple actions.
  • Manual dexterity, auditory and visual demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous escape game experience is preferred, but not required
  • CPR/ First Aid is recommended, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly and upbeat manner, confirm or complete their booking and ensure they are ready for their game.
  • Carry out the pre-game briefing, following the game-specific script and ensuring that all key points are covered from the game-specific checklist.
  • Fully supervise the game from beginning to end, either remotely using CCTV or a typed or spoken clueing system, or in person as an in-game character.
  • Complete the game experience in a friendly and upbeat manner with a personalized de-brief, taking a team photo, inviting guests to return, and escorting them out.
  • Resetting the game room to the exact specification of the game-specific reset list, double checking that it is ready for the next game.
  • Cleaning game rooms as required, including vacuuming and dusting all in-reach surfaces and wiping down all props and locks.
  • Making emergency repairs and replacements to damaged or broken game items and reporting any potential wear and tear to the Manager.
  • Participate in the preparation, building and testing of new sites and games.
  • Exhibits confidence and physical ability to handle guests and themselves, and adjust to unusual situations.
  • Work well independently and with a team, to promote the best practices for the activities.
  • Exhibit ability to recognize and tactfully deal with unsafe guest behavior.
  • Exhibit awareness of potential hazards and situations that could compromise the activity, communicates with the Manager and makes appropriate adjustments.
  • Exhibit ability to be guest service oriented and to communicate well and confidently with the public.
  • Assist with other job duties as assigned.
