ERSEA Support Specialist II (1650)

About The Position

As a member of the ERSEA Team, you will join an incredibly talented and hardworking eligibility department dedicated to ensuring eligible families are recruited and enrolled; a major step in meeting the needs of families and building communities, which will help advance BakerRipley’s impact in the Houston region. Reporting to the ERSEA Manager, the ERSEA Specialist III is responsible for education, case management, and family advocacy to families in an assigned caseload plus supporting manager in administrative duties related to data integrity and record keeping. EXPECTED POSITIVE OUTCOMES • Plan and implement quality assurance process for documentation related to the application process. • Offer training and support to center staff by conducting periodic site visits. • Facilitate quarterly trainings on behalf of the ERSEA team targeting critical topics relate to eligibility, selection, attendance, and enrollment. • Develop system of record keeping, data entry, and periodic reports targeting internal data base system.

Requirements

  • MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Educational Administration, Business Administration, or Management required.
  • Years of Experience: At least 2 years’ experience with databases and staff training.
  • COMPUTER/ SYSTEMS/ SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY: • Advanced skill in use of Windows, Excel, and MS Word.
  • LANGUAGE REQUIRED (Other than English): Spanish

  • Database management experiences a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and monitors systems that ensure program quality and ensures regular monitoring are implemented and reviewed for the ERSEA department.
  • Creates and maintains supportive documentation, as appropriate.
  • Oversight of information in the Data Management System for assigned sites of the Head Start/Early Head Start program.
  • Live support for Managers, Specialists, and other internal staff for problem solving, information exchange, and coordination of efforts.
  • Provides expertise and mentoring to Center Managers and Family Development Workers, regarding the development of application process, verifying income, selection, and attendance.
  • Ensure program compliance with ERSEA policies and procedures related to grant requirements.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, parents, and the public.
  • Any other duties as may be required.
