About The Position
The ERS Electrical Commissioning Engineer position at Vertiv Corporation involves performing field commissioning procedures for electrical systems, including moderately complex systems. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills, as the engineer will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and documenting results of electrical systems. This position is mentally demanding, necessitating concentration on multiple projects simultaneously, and it operates with limited supervision. The engineer will engage in various aspects of commissioning electrical power distribution systems, contributing to the Owners Project Requirements (OPR) process, and participating in design reviews and meetings related to commissioning, construction, and project progress. In addition to technical responsibilities, the engineer will develop commissioning requirements and plans, track and report issues, and participate in training programs. They will also be involved in Integrated Systems Tests (IST) and assist in the development of Systems Manuals and preventative maintenance plans. The role includes providing comprehensive project management, representing the company in technical discussions, and maintaining strong client relationships. The engineer will also be responsible for preparing job proposals, including estimating man-hours and expenses, and ensuring that project schedules are met while actively contributing to business development and expansion efforts.
