About The Position

The position is accountable for formulating sales goals and objectives, as well as implementation strategies for growing profitable sales for a defined geography. This is accomplished through the direct management, mentorship and coordination of ERS’ outside and inside sales resources. This position will be driving all ERS products for the electrical testing division and will be responsible for orders, margin, and team engagement. Responsible for Sales Management Administer all phases of the sales management process to insure effective and timely customer service and response. Formulates, communicates, implements and evaluates strategies and tactical sales plans. Evaluates inside and outside sales performance. Provides coaching and developmental support to continuously improve capabilities of the sales team. Directly supervise the Sales Engineers for the Electrical Testing Services organization. Customer Relationship Management Partners with customers to plan strategies, provide quality service, train personnel and provide support as necessary for attainment of goals and objectives. Channel Management The position is responsible for development and implementation of partnering strategies with LBP’s (Local Business Partners), support and training of LBP’s sales teams, annual business planning and coordination of local marketing efforts. This position is also responsible for identifying key organizations and channels to market supporting Alternative Energy/Energy Storage and expanding ERS’ relationship with those groups to drive new Compliance program opportunities for these markets. Marketing Support Define markets, works with market product management to identify market potential and appropriate sales strategies for Western Region Implementation of national/state/local marketing programs as necessary. Provide evaluations, as requested, of new service programs, marketing research and literature development. Senior Management As a member of the senior management team, communicates effectively with the operations teams to drive customer satisfaction and growth. Participate in quarterly meetings, planning, and special projects benefiting the commercial organization. Supervisory Responsibilities Roles include Iside Sales Engineer, Sales Engineers of varying levels, and Business Development Manager. It will be also critical to align team members with the Major Account Team and leadership. Requirements

  • Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, 50% overnight travel required covering sales territory.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of electrical distribution systems
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk and hear.
  • Required to sit and work at computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Conduct walk-through of construction sites and work in and around electrical equipment.
  • Valid Driver’s License required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards associated with ERS’ Compliance/Alternative Energy Solutions a plus . This includes but is not limited to: NERC NFPA 790 and 791
