About The Position

The ERP Systems Administrator I supports daily operations of ERP systems by installing, configuring, and maintaining software, troubleshooting issues, and automating routine tasks. The role ensures system stability and performance, provides second-tier support, and maintains documentation. It fills a critical gap between help desk and senior admin roles, enabling efficient service delivery and allowing senior staff to focus on strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in computing or information systems and one year of related computer programming experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, client/server architecture, and software installation and configuration.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving system issues, with the ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Skilled in scripting and automation to streamline tasks.
  • Familiarity with system performance monitoring.
  • Ability to read and apply technical documentation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with users and technical teams. Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices.
  • Knowledge of safe working procedures and licensing compliance.
  • Capable of working independently while following established procedures.
  • Understanding of IT principles, databases, and application support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide second-tier support by troubleshooting ERP system issues, communicating with users, and documenting resolutions.
  • Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Develop scripts or programs to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
  • Review technical documentation to support system installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Create and maintain procedural documentation to support consistent system administration practices.
  • Install, configure, and update ERP-related software systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
