This is a hybrid role (4 days/week onsite) at our headquarters in Fremont, California. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ERP Planning & Manufacturing Techno-Functional Lead to manage the design, delivery, and support of Nextracker’s global planning, manufacturing, and inventory control processes. This is a strategic role responsible for partnering with Supply Chain, Operations, and Manufacturing teams to implement and optimize ERP systems that drive operational agility, scalability, and efficiency. The ideal candidate combines hands-on ERP technical expertise with deep functional knowledge of planning, manufacturing, and inventory processes in a project-based discrete manufacturing environment (captive and outsourced). Strong ERP experience—specifically Oracle Fusion Cloud or SAP—is required. As part of our large-scale ERP transformation journey, this individual will lead the full project lifecycle, from discovery through implementation, stabilization, and continuous improvement in the planning and manufacturing functional areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 15+ years of IT/Supply Chain systems experience with ERP expertise (Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion Cloud, or SAP).
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Planning, Manufacturing, and Inventory modules (Demand/Supply Planning, S&OP, MPS, MRP, BOM, Work Orders, Inventory).
  • Strong functional knowledge of planning and manufacturing processes in discrete, project-based manufacturing.
  • Experience integrating ERP with PLM, MES, WMS, TMS, and advanced planning tools.
  • Proven leadership in ERP transformation programs and cross-functional supply chain/manufacturing initiatives.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global, and highly collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS CPIM/CSCP or equivalent supply chain certifications.
  • Experience in renewable energy, manufacturing, or high-tech industries.
  • Familiarity with advanced planning platforms (Kinaxis, OMP, SAP IBP, Oracle Demand/Supply Planning).
  • Certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or ERP vendor credentials (Oracle/SAP).

Responsibilities

  • Lead ERP Planning & Manufacturing Implementations: Provide technical leadership and functional guidance for Oracle Fusion Cloud or SAP planning and manufacturing modules.
  • Drive process design, configuration, testing, rollout, and adoption.
  • Configure and optimize Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure material availability and production efficiency.
  • Configure and support ERP modules for shop floor control, BOMs, routings, work orders, FGI, FGI and production reporting.
  • Configure, extend and support ERP modules; build and troubleshoot customizations, reports, extensions and interfaces.
  • Support reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Standardize and optimize global inventory management, including cycle counting, lot/serial tracking, valuation, and warehouse management integration.
  • Recommend solutions for process gaps, implement phased rollout strategies, and lead planning/manufacturing tracks across discovery, CRPs, integration, data conversion, UAT, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to design, test, and deploy integrations between ERP, PLM, MES, WMS, TMS, and advanced planning platforms.
  • Develop and execute strategies for migrating BOMs, routings, work orders, and inventory data into ERP with accuracy and integrity.
  • Drive KPI-based improvements in forecast accuracy, planning adherence, inventory turns, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and advanced planning solutions, to identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
