ERMCO-ECI is seeking an ERP Operational Process Manager with a strong engineering and manufacturing background, experienced in applying ERP systems (Infor LN preferred) in the development and manufacturing of distribution transformers and components serving electric utilities. This role will manage a small team of professionals tasked with applying Infor LN ERP tools within an engineering and manufacturing setting to ensure seamless integration within a multi-campus manufacturing business. The ideal candidate combines the above expertise with strong critical thinking skills, operating in a collaborative environment, and is driven to improve manufacturing workflow efficiency, accuracy, and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Business/Information Systems, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 5+ years’ experience leading and using/deploying ERP functionality across Engineering & Manufacturing, with preference for Infor LN (other ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics also considered).
  • Strong understanding of ERP-enabled business processes across engineering and manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret engineering and manufacturing requirements to define ERP functionality that aligns with and supports business processes.
  • Experience with ERP reporting and analysis tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and training end-users.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to grow alongside an ever-evolving ERP system.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of ERP Operational Process Specialists who work closely with IT to implement ERP functionality based on the operational needs of engineering and manufacturing.
  • Serve as a trusted partner with other business and IT leaders, ensuring ERP functionality directly supports engineering and manufacturing in a multicampus manufacturing setting.
  • Work with IT to align ERP functionality with operational needs in engineering and manufacturing such as workflows, work instructions, routings, component part numbering and documentation, product configuration and documentation, change management and deviations.
  • Support data integrity, reporting, and analytics to improve decision-making within the engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Ensure ERP functionality effectively supports end-to-end engineering and manufacturing processes, working closely with IT.
  • Provide end user support and training to engineering & manufacturing associates to ensure adoption and effective use of ERP tools.
  • Participate in testing and validation of ERP changes impacting engineering and manufacturing to ensure accuracy, usability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT to review and advise on upgrades, new modules, and enhancements that impact engineering and manufacturing.
  • Partner with cross functional leaders to streamline workflows and data integration delivering measurable improvements.
  • Leverage ERP capabilities to simplify complexity, strengthen data integrity, and enable accurate, timely insights.
  • Utilize advanced reporting and analytics to improve operational and financial decision-making.
  • Build strong partnerships across IT, engineering, manufacturing, sales, finance, and operations acting as the liaison between these teams.
  • Lead organizational and CPQ change management within engineering and manufacturing to drive deep adoption and maximize ERP value.
  • Provide management reporting on engineering and manufacturing ERP initiatives, outcomes, and impact on manufacturing performance.
