About The Position

We are seeking a senior-level ERP Architect / Senior PeopleSoft Consultant with CAPPS and ERP subject matter expert skills, providing strategic and hands-on support for CAPPS Financials, HCM, and related PeopleSoft applications. This role is responsible for analyzing business processes, designing and implementing ERP solutions, guiding agencies through modernization and migration efforts, and providing expert recommendations, alternatives, and best practices to clients and stakeholders. The candidate will work closely with business, functional, and technical teams to ensure CAPPS solutions align with agency needs, State of Texas standards, and long-term enterprise architecture goals.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of technology experience
  • Ability to facilitate requirements with clients
  • 4+ years of experience supporting, implementing, upgrading, or enhancing ERP systems, with extensive experience in CAPPS / PeopleSoft Financials
  • Demonstrated experience working in State of Texas CAPPS environments, including Financials
  • Strong ability to analyze business requirements, identify gaps, and recommend solution alternatives aligned with CAPPS standards and agency constraints
  • Proven experience guiding clients and stakeholders through technical and functional decision-making, including explaining tradeoffs, risks, and impacts
  • Experience supporting ERP migrations, upgrades, or legacy-to-CAPPS transitions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business users, functional leads, developers, and infrastructure teams

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive experience with PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM)
  • Experience leading or supporting CAPPS upgrades and major enhancement efforts
  • Strong techno-functional background with the ability to translate business needs into ERP solutions
  • Experience with PeopleSoft tools such as Integration Broker, BI Publisher, nVision, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder facilitation skills
