About The Position

The ERP Business Analyst – Controlling/product costing/project systems professional is responsible for successful delivery within each phase of the program: Blueprint – detailed design for processes, utilizing best practices and maximizing process harmonization opportunities; evaluation of gaps and making scope decisions. Build – collaborate with an integrated team of external resources and internal team members in the configuration and development of system capabilities. Testing – support the creation and execution of test scenarios and scripts; work alongside business leaders and testers to ensure proper functionality and defect resolution. Cutover & Hypercare – support successful migration from legacy systems to new environments. Support go-live and the continuation of Collins’ financial and operational performance. You are the ideal candidate if you have experience working within an organization that is responsible for driving large scale, complex programs and projects related to business process and system transformation, ideally ERP implementation using SAP’s S/4HANA solution. This individual may sit at any major Collins site within the U.S. What YOU will do: Support the end-to-end Controlling process areas including, Cost center accounting, Profit center accounting, revenue recognition, product costing, project systems, profitability analysis (margin analysis) and period-end close. Collaborate with cross-functional teams like planning, bill of materials, routings, MRP and external procurement to design and implement solutions that leverage S/4 Hana, enhancing our workstream processes in alignment desired Collins operating model and industry best practices. Support the collection and distribution of labor via the SAP cross application time sheet (CATS) requires knowledge of SAP CATS integration into FI/CO and project systems and understand the setup of activity types and rates. Familiarity with SAP S/4 universal allocations, including assessments and distributions, as well as overhead application via costing sheets to multiple types of cost objects (NWAs/WBS, production orders, service orders, cost centers, sales order line items) in an advanced manufacturing environment. Collaborate with business and digital team members and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide guidance on utilizing the ERP system effectively. Finance Acumen: Strong understanding of finance and controlling processes, program management, and government or financial reporting requirements. Understanding Maintenance, repair and overhaul and familiarity with standard costing and make to stock environment and actual cost with GPD (PMMO) Support creation of new and innovative solutions to support digital and business strategies and common design aspirations. Support the evaluation of options for bolt-on applications and make recommendations based on functional requirements, desired Collins operating model, and industry best practices. Assist data team and process teams in data mapping activities and testing. Document common solutions, including configuration documents, process flows and data policies. Deliver functional specifications for any forms, reports, enhancements, conversion programs, integrations and workflows deemed in scope of the workstream as part of program.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Current U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Experience with SAP systems including system configuration, data management, and reporting capabilities
  • 10+ years’ Finance Acumen: Strong understanding of finance processes including but not limited to: Finance and controlling Master Data, Allocations, FP&A, Financial Reporting, results analysis Payroll, Period Close & Consolidation, Costing, Project Accounting,
  • 7+ years’ experience in SAP configuration and implementation in the following FI/CO modules – cost center accounting, profit center accounting, product costing, Intercompany Accounting, cross functional integrations to controlling module
  • Must be okay with travel up to 50% when needed.
