One California Job Summary and Responsibilities Position Summary Under the direction of the Department Director and/or Registered Nurse, assists nursing personnel in maintaining required medical record documentation, as well as administrative/clerical processes surrounding the daily operations of the Nursing Unit. Monitors the central cardiac monitoring station, and alerts appropriate members of the healthcare team to the presence of problematic and/or potentially lethal arrhythmias.

Requirements

  • Experience as a MA, EMT, CNA orequivalence, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Medical Terminology
  • Familiarity with computer operations
  • Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a ER Tech, UnitClerk and/or Monitor Technician
  • Previous experience with EKG equipment, able to perform EKG's
  • Prior acute care or emergency experience

Responsibilities
