About The Position
Assist the RN and ED physician with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice and under direct supervision of the registered nurse. Perform a variety of duties such as but not limited to patient transporter, venipuncture, vital signs, non-sterile dressings and EKG's. Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences. Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficient computer skills required.
- Must have ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Venipuncture class and BLS required within six (6) weeks and/or within orientation calendar.
- Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to effectively interact with all health team members.
Nice To Haves
- One year (1) experience in acute care hospital and/or patient care assistant preferred but not required.
- Hospital orientation and unit orientation required.
