About The Position

The Emergency Room Technician provides direct, basic patient care activities under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse. Handles the care and cleaning of specific equipment, stocking of supplies and equipment and the transportation of patients, supplies and equipment. Establishes and maintains open lines of communication with the Registered Nurse and other members of the healthcare team. Records and reports pertinent observations regarding patients to the Registered Nurse (as example: vital signs, I&O, accu-check, skin condition) Answers patients call lights promptly, courteously and assists patients Performs patient safety comfort rounds Observes and communicates with patient Identifies and meets patient needs

Requirements

  • High School Graduate/GED (required)
  • 0 - 1 (required) years of work experience
  • Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
  • BLS from the AHA (American Heart Association)

  • Technical School
  • 2 - 4 years of work experience
