About The Position

As an ER Technician in the Emergency Department at AdventHealth Port Charlotte, you will play a crucial role in delivering patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This position is full-time and requires working night shifts. You will be responsible for assisting with patient care, coordinating the immediate off-load of patients arriving via EMS, and monitoring vital functions. The facility is committed to providing holistic care and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

Requirements

• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification.
• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• EMT - Emergency Medical Technician certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the charge nurse and/or primary nurse with patient care throughout the department as assigned.
• Coordinate the immediate off-load of patients arriving via EMS with the primary nurse and/or charge nurse.
• Collaborate with the primary nurse to assist in the implementation of appropriate physician orders to expedite patient care.
• Obtain specimens within a timely manner of arrival.
• Promptly notify the physician and/or primary nurse of untoward changes in a patient's condition.
• Monitor cardiac/telemetry status and vital functions of all patients.
