About The Position
Vista Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room (ER) Technician to join our fast-paced emergency department. As an ER Tech, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring a high standard of emergency medical services. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an EMT-B, EMT-P, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in high-stress situations.
Nice To Haves
- ACLS/PALS preferred.
- Previous experience in an emergency or acute care setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist nurses and physicians with patient care, including vital signs monitoring, wound care, splinting, and IV placement.
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and other diagnostic tests as required.
- Transport patients safely within the hospital.
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized ER environment.
- Support patient comfort, including repositioning, hygiene assistance, and emotional support.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols.
