About The Position

The Emergency Room (ER) Technician plays a critical role in supporting the fast-paced, high-pressure environment of the emergency department. Working alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the ER Tech provides essential clinical and administrative support to ensure timely and effective care for patients in emergency situations. This position requires a dedicated, adaptable, and skilled individual who thrives in dynamic and often urgent settings, assisting with patient assessments, medical procedures, and patient safety.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or hold a GED certificate
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant course or Emergency Medical Technician certification
• Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification
• CNA (current on Nurse Aid Registry) or EMT Certification in the State of Illinois or National Registry
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training program (CPI) required before completing orientation.

• Clinical experience in a certified nursing assistant program or as an EMT preferred
