About The Position
Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient s needs. Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of growth and development. Demonstrates the ability to identify high priority patients to the triage nurse, based on pre determined criteria. Monitors the waiting room and identifies patient in need for re-assessment by the triage nurse, based on pre determined criteria. Recognizes and responds to monitor alarms and/or changes in patient cardiac rhythm, and assures that RN or charge nurse is notified and aware.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED from an accredited school is required
- Certificate from Paramedic School is required.
- Willingness to cross train as Unit Secretary
- Previous experience working as a Paramedic is required. Experience with starting IVs is necessary.
- Paramedic License required.
- ACLS, BLS, PALS required
