About The Position

Watertown Regional Medical Center has a full time opportunity for a Patient Care Partner (PCP). This can be filled by a CNA, LPN or EMT in our Emergency Department. Full Time, 3 - 12 hour shifts Friday - Sunday 7:00pm - 7:00am. Our Emergency Department is a state of the art, 16-bed unit. The Patient Care Partner is responsible for assisting with nursing care of the patient, within an assigned patient care unit. Working under the direction of the physician and/or RN, the PCP provides a variety of patient care, environmental and equipment related services including but not limited to: assisting with patient care, including observing and documenting illness and/or injury, patient room restocking and maintaining equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum requirement of current CNA, EMT or LPN certification/license issued by the State of Wisconsin, required.
• CPR Certification, required.
• 1 year of patient care experience in a health care facility, required.
• Ability to apply critical thinking, analytical and participative behavior to solving techniques and decision making.

Responsibilities

• IV initiation and removal
• Cardiac monitoring and EKGs
• Laboratory draws
• Basic Medication administration with appropriate licensure
• Order entry
• Assist with treatment and management of patients
• Performs other duties as assigned: i.e.) Foley catheter insertion; patient transport; wound cleansing, etc.
• Will work collaboratively as a part of a patient focused team to provide excellent care and services.
