About The Position

The Emergency Room Tech assumes responsibility for assisting with the implementation of supportive nursing care under the direction of the RN. General responsibilities include clerical duties, courier duties, stocking, transporting, performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and specific patient care duties. The role requires demonstrating service excellence at all times and performing other duties as assigned including departmental and/or facility-based tasks.

Requirements

• High School Education or GED equivalent.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS upon hire.
• CPI within 6 months.
• Florida EMT License, National EMT License, or CNA License.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of supportive nursing care under the direction of the RN.
• Perform clerical duties.
• Carry out courier duties.
• Stock supplies and transport items as needed.
• Perform EKGs.
• Conduct phlebotomy and specific patient care duties.
• Demonstrate service excellence at all times.
• Complete other duties as assigned including departmental and/or facility-based tasks.
