The Emergency Services Technician offers an excellent opportunity in supporting patient care and covering administrative and clinical procedures. Working in collaboration across a team of practitioners, you will ensure the best possible health care outcomes and patient experiences.

  • Assist in providing direct patient care as directed by health care practitioner.
  • Engage critical thinking skills in maintaining a safe, therapeutic and aesthetic environment.
  • Utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction.
  • Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
  • Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Washington state certification/licensure as a CNA or NA-R, MA-P, MA-C or successful completion of EMT Training Course.
  • MA-P or EMT will be required to obtain NA-R within ninety (90) days of hire.
  • CNA, NA-R, or EMT will be required to obtain MA-P within a specified date as determined by location; Yakima location does not require the MA-P.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Previous experience as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, or EMT, in an emergency department, pre-hospital, or acute care setting within the last three (3) years preferred.
