About The Position

The ER Tech position at Tennova Healthcare involves providing essential technical support in the Emergency Room to enhance patient care. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification is mandatory.
• At least 1 year of previous experience in a related field is required.
• Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician or in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to physicians and nurses in the Emergency Room.
• Perform phlebotomy and IV starts as needed.
• Conduct 12 lead EKGs and monitor patients' vital signs.
• Transport patients to other departments as required.
• Perform Point of Care Testing and wound care.
• Insert foley catheters and obtain lab specimens.
• Document all care and procedures provided to patients.
• Assist the Emergency Physician with technical tasks such as suturing simple lacerations.
• Clean and maintain equipment and workspace.
