The role you'll contribute: Patrols assigned areas and performs all security-related tasks, ensuring life safety standards are maintained. Investigates suspicious activity or persons and reports hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances. Acknowledges and responds appropriately to emergency, non-emergency, and alarm calls. Administers initial first aid as appropriate and to the level of training attained. Learns applicable systems and responds to fire alarms at facilities during actual alarms and drills. Intercedes in disputes between individuals using verbal de-escalation techniques and skills to diffuse potentially violent situations. Unlocks buildings and doors after checking identification and compliance with hospital policies. Monitors vehicle and pedestrian traffic on hospital properties, interviewing and investigating individuals involved in suspicious or illegal activities. Investigates and documents safety hazards, incidents, and criminal activities through both written and electronic formats, reporting incidents to the appropriate entities. Other duties as assigned . The value you'll bring to the team: Responsible for performing security service duties through professional and positive interaction with the public, patients, employees, and administrators. This position responds to various calls and provides assistance in emergency and non-emergency situations. This role investigates and documents safety hazards, incidents, and criminal activities. Other expectations include patrolling designated areas to ensure the protection of the public, patients, employees, and property.

Requirements

  • Clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background check (i.e., clean criminal history)
  • Must successfully pass IAHSS certification within 6 months of hire
  • CPI certification required annually
  • High School Grad or Equivalent
  • Driver's License (DL) [Required]

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]
