About The Position

Overview We are seeking New Graduate Emergency Room RN, also referred to as our Entry-Level Registered Nurse (RN) position in our Emergency Services department. A Registered Nurse who is ready to launch their nursing career in a supportive and dynamic clinical environment in our Emergency Room (ER) / Emergency Department (ED). This entry-level RN role offers structured orientation, hands-on training, and professional mentorship to help new Registered Nurses build confidence and develop critical nursing skills. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Temporary Graduate Nurse Permit.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

Responsibilities

  • Perform head-to-toe assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in patient conditions and patient care
  • Administer oral, intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), or subcutaneous medications, including pain management and antibiotics
  • Use electronic health records (EHRs) to document patient assessments, interventions, medications given, and progress
  • Handle multiple patients with varying acuity levels, often prioritizing tasks like responding to emergencies, addressing pain management, and ensuring timely medication administration
  • Participate in a nurse orientation designed to transition new grads into practice
  • Triage and treat patients using standardized protocols, provide direct care for various conditions, and assist with life-saving interventions like ACLS, PALS, and trauma care
  • Stay calm in high-pressure situations, manage multiple patients, and educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
  • Work closely with experienced nurses or preceptors to refine clinical and critical-thinking skills
