A Clinical Pharmacist II provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care primarily through a decentralized model providing service excellence, clinical services, distributive functions, education, and a commitment to the department’s mission. He/she shall demonstrate leadership qualities, serve as a role model, and actively participate in development and revision of policies and procedures, evidence based protocols/order sets, and quality/performance improvement projects. Clinical Pharmacists II shall possess characteristics to successfully fulfill their responsibilities, including effective communication, flexibility, attention to detail, initiative, cooperation, and a high level of knowledge and skills applicable to their area of practice. Emphasis in practice area may include Cardiology, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Infectious Disease/Antimicrobial Stewardship, Medication Safety, Neonatology/Pediatrics, and/or Surgery. General Responsibilities: ER Clinical Pharmacist II within highly integrated and collaborative ER pharmacy program.
