What You Should Know About the ER Attendant Role: Hours varyMay require an adjustment of schedule to accommodate departmental need.This position is based within Jefferson Regional In this unique setting, daily interactions with a diverse clientele, including hospital staff, physicians, and visitors, are expected. Job Summary:The Emergency Department Attendant plays a critical role in the healthcare team by providing direct patient care to an assigned group of patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse. They will ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, providing compassionate and empathetic care while maintain patient dignity and confidentiality. The ER Attendant will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to support patient treatment and recovery.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
BLS Certification within 30 days upon hire.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills for the electronic medical record.
Have experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
Valid Arkansas Drivers License.
This position is a Safety Sensitive Position.
The essential duties of the job require the employee to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.
A lapse in attention to detail may constitute a threat to health or safety resulting in injury, illness, or death.
This position prohibits the current use of any illegal drugs.
