About The Position

Are you friendly, show close attention to detail and willing to assist and communicate with patients regarding their registration into the hospital? If so, we'd love for you to apply for our Emergency Room Admitting Clerk position!

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year experience in an office setting
  • Customer Service experience

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients/visitors in a courteous, welcoming manner
  • Ensure patient understands and signs all required forms as it pertains to the patient’s registration/admission
  • Accurate entry of all required information into the hospital system
  • Collect payment when applicable
  • Notify the clinical department with the physician order for all outpatient services and prompt notification to the ER clinical staff of individuals seeking emergency services
  • Verify that all patient and insurance information is entered accurately and that authorization is obtained for the services rendered
  • Coordinate with referring physician office as it pertains to registration requirements
